Astronomy book group                      I am in the book group  The Cosmos  by Carl Sagan. Every week we meet and we have to read a certain number of pages and draw a model of something we saw in the book. This book was challenging but interesting because it told you a lot about the history of how people discovered how the universe worked,like how they thought the earth was in the center of the galaxy and all the planets rotated around earth but a scientist proved that was wrong.

                                            Project 1       I read the book Where the Red Fern Grows  in book group and it was really good! The book is about a boy Billy who lives in Oklahoma in the 1920's or 30's and his experiences with his coon hunting dogs,Old Dan and Little Ann.  Then we were given an assignment called edible book report and it was were we had to make a food that was related to the book in someway. I made a Key Lime pie because the setting is in Oklahoma,the southern U.S.A. and that is where Key Lime pie originated from.

                                                  About me My favorite books are Harry potter,animal stories,and historical fiction.   I like to do math  I love animals and I love to play with my pets    I like to skate,ski,swim,hike,run,bike,and play outside.  I love learning about biology and history and doing projects about what I learn Plants and animals interest me because you can be hands on and you can actually learn about it outside and stuff.  I like to bake and do art. for example,I am painting a mural of the ocean on my bedroom wall and my favorite thing to bake is a marbled bundt cake and big winooski cookies. I love to experiment with things,like building a tree house from scratch, planting a garden outside and making meals from the harvest, and attaching a rope to my dog and letting her run and pull me while I am on skis down a hill in the winter.
